Abigail Adams
Abigail Adams managed the family farm and business through years of her husband John Adams's absence at the Continental Congress and diplomatic postings, and her extensive correspondence with him, including her 1776 plea to remember the ladies in any new legal code, is among the richest surviving records of the Revolution's domestic and political life from a woman's perspective.
