Admiral Sir David Beatty
David Beatty commanded the British battlecruiser force at Jutland, whose aggressive pursuit of the German fleet drew it into range of Jellicoe's main battle fleet, though at the cost of losing three battlecruisers to catastrophic magazine explosions -- prompting his famous remark, 'There seems to be something wrong with our bloody ships today.' He succeeded Jellicoe as commander of the Grand Fleet in 1916 and later became First Sea Lord.
