Alcibiades

Alcibiades was a brilliant and controversial Athenian general and politician who played a complex role in the Peloponnesian War. A student of Socrates, he championed the disastrous Sicilian Expedition but fled to Sparta when accused of sacrilege, later switching sides multiple times between Athens, Sparta, and Persia. His charisma and military talent were overshadowed by his self-serving ambition and political unreliability.
