Andrew Jackson

7th President of the United States (1829–1837) who signed the Indian Removal Act in 1830 authorising the forced relocation of the Five Civilised Tribes from the Southeast, resulting in the Trail of Tears during which thousands of Cherokee, Creek, and other nations died; also destroyed the Second Bank of the United States and expanded democratic participation for white men.
