Aristotle
Aristotle was a Greek philosopher and polymath who studied under Plato and later tutored the young Alexander the Great. He made foundational contributions to logic, biology, physics, ethics, politics, and literary theory, establishing systematic approaches to nearly every field of knowledge. His works became the cornerstone of medieval European and Islamic scholarship, and his influence on Western thought is rivaled only by Plato.
