Aulus Platorius Nepos
Aulus Platorius Nepos was a Roman senator and military commander who served as governor of Roman Britain from around 122 to 126 CE. He is credited with overseeing the initial construction of Hadrian's Wall, as attested by numerous building inscriptions (RIB stones) along the wall bearing his name alongside that of Emperor Hadrian. He had previously served as governor of Lower Germany and was a personal friend of Hadrian, though ancient sources suggest their relationship later soured.
