Bernadette Devlin McAliskey

Northern Irish civil rights leader and the youngest woman ever elected to the Westminster Parliament (1969, age 21). Present at the Bloody Sunday march in Derry (30 January 1972) and witnessed the shootings. Famously crossed the floor of the House of Commons and physically attacked Home Secretary Reginald Maudling after his Commons statement defending the Army. Her testimony became a key eyewitness account of the massacre.
