Faisal ibn Abdulaziz
King of Saudi Arabia (1964–1975) who modernised the kingdom's administration and education system, used Saudi oil wealth to fund the global spread of Wahhabi Islam through the Muslim World League, led the Arab oil embargo of 1973 in response to US support for Israel during the Yom Kippur War, and was assassinated by a nephew in March 1975.
