Field Marshal Gunther von Kluge

Gunther von Kluge commanded Army Group Center on the Eastern Front through much of 1942-43, including the northern pincer at Kursk, and was later appointed Commander-in-Chief West during the 1944 Normandy campaign. Implicated in the July 1944 plot to assassinate Hitler, he took his own life in August 1944 rather than face arrest.
