George II
Second Hanoverian king who was the last British monarch to personally lead troops in battle, at Dettingen in 1743. His reign saw the final defeat of the Jacobite cause at Culloden in 1746 and the start of Britain's global imperial expansion during the Seven Years' War. He had a famously difficult relationship with his son Frederick, who predeceased him.
