Germanicus Julius Caesar

Germanicus recovered two of the three eagles lost at Teutoburg Forest and was on the verge of pacifying Germany when Tiberius recalled him. Sent to the East, he died at Antioch at 33, widely believed to have been poisoned on Tiberius's orders via the governor Piso. His death caused widespread grief in Rome.
