Jack Kilby

Jack Kilby of Texas Instruments invented the integrated circuit in 1958, demonstrating that multiple electronic components could be fabricated on a single semiconductor wafer. He received the 2000 Nobel Prize in Physics for this invention, which enabled Moore's Law scaling and the entire digital revolution.
