John Lennon

English musician, singer-songwriter, and co-founder of The Beatles. His songwriting partnership with Paul McCartney produced the most influential catalogue in pop music history. After the Beatles dissolved he became a prominent peace activist, recording Imagine (1971). Murdered in New York in 1980.
