Lysander
Lysander secured Persian funding for a Spartan fleet, decisively defeated Athens at Aegospotami, and blockaded Piraeus until Athens surrendered. He installed oligarchic governments loyal to Sparta across the Aegean. His ambitions threatened even Spartan constitutional norms and he was killed fighting Thebes at Haliartus in 395 BCE.
