Manuel II of Portugal
Manuel II, known as 'The Unfortunate', became king after the assassination of his father and elder brother. His brief reign of two years was marked by political chaos and republican agitation. The revolution of 5 October 1910 ended the monarchy and Manuel fled to England, where he lived in exile until his death.
