Marshal Jean-de-Dieu Soult

Jean-de-Dieu Soult, Duke of Dalmatia, was one of Napoleon's most capable marshals, playing a decisive role at Austerlitz where his corps stormed the Pratzen Heights to split the Allied army. He later commanded French forces in the Peninsular War against Wellington and, after Napoleon's fall, had an extraordinary second career as a leading statesman of the July Monarchy, serving as Prime Minister of France three times between 1832 and 1847.
