Marshal Louis-Nicolas Davout
Louis-Nicolas Davout, Duke of Auerstedt and Prince of Eckmuhl, was widely regarded as Napoleon's most reliable and disciplined marshal, never losing a battle he personally commanded. At Auerstedt in 1806 his single corps of roughly 27,000 men defeated a Prussian army twice its size, a feat that established his reputation as 'the Iron Marshal.'
