Maxentius

Maxentius was the son of Maximian and ruled from Rome — the first emperor to reside there in decades. He was a capable ruler who restored monuments and was tolerant of Christians. At Milvian Bridge, Constantine's forces routed his army; Maxentius fell into the Tiber and drowned, weighed down by his armour.
