Pablo Picasso

Spanish painter, sculptor, and printmaker, co-founder with Georges Braque of Cubism around 1907–1914. His monumental 1937 oil painting Guernica, depicting the Nazi bombing of the Basque town, became the defining visual protest against fascist terror and the most reproduced antiwar artwork of the twentieth century.
