Pedro I of Portugal
Pedro I, known as 'The Just' (O Justiceiro) and also 'The Cruel', was notorious for the ferocity of his justice and his obsessive love for Inês de Castro, whom his father had murdered. After becoming king he allegedly had her body exhumed and forced the court to pay homage to her corpse.
