Philip V of France
Philip V, called 'the Tall,' became king by setting aside his niece's claims, establishing the precedent that women could not inherit the French throne under Salic law. He undertook administrative reforms to standardize weights and measures and improve royal finances. His reign of five years ended without a male heir.
