Philip V of Macedon

King of Macedon who allied with Hannibal after Cannae (215 BCE) and fought two wars with Rome. Lost the Second Macedonian War at Cynoscephalae (197 BCE) and watched his kingdom humiliated. Spent his remaining years rebuilding Macedonian strength for a third attempt that he died before making. His son Perseus would be destroyed at Pydna in 168 BCE.
