Prasutagus

Prasutagus was the client king of the Iceni tribe in what is now Norfolk, England, ruling under Roman suzerainty. He maintained a cooperative relationship with Rome throughout his reign and reportedly amassed considerable wealth. In his will he attempted to protect his family and kingdom by leaving his estate jointly to his two daughters and the Roman Emperor Nero. Instead, Roman administrators treated his death as the lapse of a client kingdom, annexed Iceni territory, flogged Boudica, and assaulted his daughters. This brutal treatment sparked Boudica's famous revolt of 60/61 CE.
