Prince Friedrich Ludwig of Hohenlohe-Ingelfingen

Friedrich Ludwig, Prince of Hohenlohe-Ingelfingen, commanded the main Prussian army defeated by Napoleon himself at Jena on 14 October 1806, the same day Davout's smaller force crushed a second Prussian army at nearby Auerstedt. The double defeat destroyed Prussian military prestige built since Frederick the Great and led to the occupation of Berlin within weeks.
