Publius Clodius Pulcher

Patrician who arranged his own adoption into a plebeian family to become tribune. As tribune in 58 BCE he exiled Cicero, provided free grain to Rome's poor, and organised armed street gangs that controlled the city. Killed by the rival gang of Titus Milo on the Appian Way in 52 BCE.
