Ramesses II
Ramesses II campaigned extensively in Canaan and Nubia and built more monuments than any other pharaoh, including Abu Simbel. The Battle of Kadesh (1274 BCE) ended in stalemate; the subsequent treaty with Hittite king Hattusili III is the earliest surviving international peace agreement. He reigned 66 years and fathered over 100 children.
