Samuel Adams
The foremost radical organizer of colonial resistance, Samuel Adams founded the Boston Sons of Liberty, orchestrated the Boston Tea Party, and used the colonial press as a weapon of political mobilization. His mastery of popular protest and committee networks transformed local Boston grievances into a continent-wide independence movement. Unlike many founders, Adams was a man of the people rather than of property, and remained a committed republican agitator his entire life.
