Sheikh Mujibur Rahman
Founding leader of Bangladesh, whose Awami League won the 1970 Pakistani election only to be denied power, precipitating the 1971 Liberation War. First President and later Prime Minister of independent Bangladesh, he was assassinated with most of his family in a 1975 coup.
