Slobodan Milošević
President of Serbia (1989-1997) and Yugoslavia (1997-2000). His nationalist policies drove the breakup of Yugoslavia and the wars in Croatia, Bosnia, and Kosovo. Indicted by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia for war crimes and crimes against humanity; died during his trial in 2006.
