Solon

Solon was an Athenian statesman and lawgiver whose reforms in the early 6th century BC laid the groundwork for Athenian democracy. He abolished debt slavery, restructured the class system based on wealth, and created new legal codes that replaced Draco's harsh laws. His poetry and political writings made him one of the Seven Sages of Greece.
