Ulfilas (Wulfila)

Gothic bishop of Cappadocian descent who invented the Gothic alphabet and translated the Bible into Gothic around 341-383 CE, the first substantial text in any Germanic language. He was an Arian Christian and transmitted Arian Christianity to the Goths and subsequently to the Vandals, Burgundians, and other Germanic peoples.
