Vespasian

Titus Flavius Vespasianus was a competent general who had commanded forces in the Jewish War before seizing power. His reign was notable for frugality, rebuilding after Nero's excesses, and the Colosseum (Flavian Amphitheatre). He died of natural causes — unusually for a 1st-century emperor — joking 'I think I'm becoming a god.'
