William III

Dutch Prince of Orange invited to invade England in the Glorious Revolution of 1688, who jointly ruled with his wife Mary II and accepted the Bill of Rights of 1689 — permanently limiting royal power. His primary concern was the continental struggle against Louis XIV's France. He ruled alone after Mary's death from smallpox in 1694 until his own death in 1702.
