Côte d'Ivoire
Côte d'Ivoire is a West African state on the Gulf of Guinea, a former French colony independent since 1960. Long one of the more prosperous economies in the region on the strength of cocoa and coffee exports, it is the world's leading cocoa producer. Yamoussoukro is its official capital, while Abidjan is the largest city and economic centre.
