Cabo Verde
Cabo Verde is an island state in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of West Africa, comprising an archipelago of volcanic islands. A Portuguese colony settled from the fifteenth century and long a hub of the transatlantic trade, it gained independence in 1975. Its capital is Praia and it is known for political stability and a large diaspora.
