Colony of Sarawak

The Colony of Sarawak was a British Crown Colony on the northwestern coast of Borneo in Southeast Asia. Previously ruled for a century by the British Brooke dynasty of White Rajahs as a private kingdom, it was ceded to the Crown after the Second World War before joining the federation of Malaysia in 1963 as one of its constituent states.
