Comoros
The Comoros is an island state in the Indian Ocean, an archipelago lying between Madagascar and the East African coast. A former French colony, it became independent in 1975, though the island of Mayotte remained under French administration. Its capital is Moroni and it has experienced repeated coups and secessionist movements since independence.
