County of Tripoli
The County of Tripoli was a crusader state on the eastern Mediterranean coast, corresponding to modern Lebanon and coastal Syria. Founded in 1109 by Bertrand of Saint-Gilles, it was the last crusader state in the Levantine mainland to fall, captured by the Mamluks in 1289.
