Denmark
One of Europe's oldest kingdoms, Denmark lost Schleswig-Holstein to Prussia/Austria in 1864 (German Unification era). It remained neutral in WWI and was occupied by Germany in April 1940 during WWII. The northern part of Schleswig was returned after a 1920 plebiscite.
