Guinea

Guinea is a West African state on the Atlantic coast, a former French colony that became independent in 1958 after voting to reject continued association with France. It holds some of the world's largest reserves of bauxite. The Niger, Senegal and Gambia rivers all rise within its highlands. Its capital is Conakry.
