Honduras

Honduras is a state in Central America, bordering Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua with coasts on the Caribbean and Pacific, and its capital at Tegucigalpa. Independent from Spain in the early 19th century after briefly belonging to a Central American federation, it developed an economy long centred on agricultural exports such as bananas and coffee.
