Israel
Israel, established in 1948 following the UN partition plan and the British withdrawal from Mandatory Palestine, is the world's only Jewish-majority state. Founded amid the Arab-Israeli War, it fought successive conflicts (1956, 1967, 1973) and made peace with Egypt (1979) and Jordan (1994). It is a parliamentary democracy with a developed tech-driven economy.
