Liberia

Liberia is a West African state on the Atlantic coast, founded in the early nineteenth century as a settlement for freed African Americans and declared a sovereign republic in 1847, making it one of Africa's oldest republics. It was devastated by civil wars in the 1990s and early 2000s. Its capital is Monrovia and it is a major maritime flag of registry.
