Malawi
Malawi is a landlocked state in South-eastern Africa, dominated by the long expanse of Lake Malawi. Formerly the British protectorate of Nyasaland, it became independent in 1964. Among the world's least developed countries, its economy depends heavily on agriculture, particularly tobacco. Its capital is Lilongwe.
