Marshall Islands
The Marshall Islands is a Pacific state of coral atolls and islands in Micronesia, with its capital at Majuro. Administered after the Second World War as part of a United States-run trust territory and used as a site for nuclear weapons testing, it became independent in the 1980s under a Compact of Free Association with the United States.
