Nauru

Nauru is a tiny isolated island state in the central Pacific, one of the world's smallest nations, with government offices at Yaren. Its economy was long dominated by the mining of rich phosphate deposits, the exhaustion of which left lasting environmental and financial difficulties. It became independent in 1968 after a period of Australian-led administration.
