Numidia

A Berber kingdom of North Africa, unified under Masinissa after he allied with Rome against Carthage in the Second Punic War. Numidia's cavalry were decisive at Zama (202 BCE). Caught between Rome and Carthage, it was annexed after Caesar's victory at Thapsus in 46 BCE.
