Principality of Antioch
The Principality of Antioch was a crusader state founded in 1098 by Bohemond I of Hauteville following the First Crusade. One of the longest-lived crusader states, it controlled the region around modern-day Antakya (Turkey) and northern Syria until its conquest by the Mamluk sultan Baybars in 1268.
