Samoa
Samoa is a Polynesian island state in the South Pacific, with its capital at Apia. Once partitioned between German and United States spheres, the western islands were administered by New Zealand before becoming, in 1962, one of the first Pacific territories to gain independence. It retains strong Indigenous traditions of chiefly governance.
