Somalia

Somalia is a state in the Horn of Africa with the longest coastline on the African mainland, along the Indian Ocean and Gulf of Aden. Formed in 1960 from the union of former British and Italian Somali territories, it descended into prolonged state collapse and civil conflict after 1991. Its capital is Mogadishu.
